Check Us Out at the Depot!

Throughout the school year, History Club members have visited the Depot in Moose Lake and helped with various projects. All of their hard work culminated with the finishing of the Country School Project this last week to be displayed over the summer at the museum.

Students researched various country schools that eventually fed larger area schools over the years (Willow River, Moose Lake and Barnum). Schools currently on display:

1-Education in the Territory of Minnesota (general introduction to education in the state in the 1800s) by Miss J
2-Kettle River School by Libbie Ring, Taylor Miller and Kayla Radel
3-Kalavela School by Mercedes Moffett
4-Birch Grove/Split Rock School by Alexis Babcock and Merissa Stevens
5-Denham School by Maddie Ross and Tayler Smith
6-Moose Lake School (1954) by Payton Grescyzk and Maddie Geil
