1) A Holly Jolly Afternoon. Students put on an afternoon of fun and food for elementary students on December 23. It took a lot of energy but everyone enjoyed themselves. We even managed to raise almost $600 for DC!! We hope to put on a few more "fun afternoons" during the upcoming half days. Look for upcoming information!
2) History Day Competition 2012. Last year, four students competed in the National History Day competition and two made it to the state competition held last spring. This year, 11 students attended a FREE history research field trip held at the UMD library. (Thank you MN History Center!) It was a wonderful opportunity for students to work with library staff in acquiring primary and secondary sources. I'm so excited to see the projects they come up with!!3) Our next History Club is this Friday (1/13) at 8 am!! Also, be on the lookout for the December newsletter as it near completion!
